For many Amsterdammers, the Slotervaart hospital was more than just a building. Since opening in 1976, it has provided years of care, collected stories and created memories. When the hospital closed in 2018, an era seemed to be over. But nothing could be further from the truth.
Het Slotervaart has grown into a city icon with a unique cure & care concept — one of the first in the Netherlands. This innovative concept now brings more than 50 healthcare professionals (cure), social organizations (care) and educational institutions together strategically under one roof.
